I have taken it upon myself to actually make the recipes I pin and then write about how it went. You never know what recipes are delicious, or cause the kitchen to look like an explosion, or take 7 hours to finish, or are so easy that you could have done it in your sleep. I'm here to give you a heads up, acting as the guinea pig before you try it yourself! Wish me luck!

(Not so) Magic Cake!
Well, they claimed it was magic, but it just turned into a mess. I don't know if it was because I put it in the wrong pan or if it was because I may have had a couple of beers, but it didn't work.
Brownie Mix!
As an avid baker, I often wonder why people by prepackaged mixes from the store when they can easily make them at home? So often I hear "You made that from scratch?! Like not from a box?!" As if it is so astonishing that someone can put together the ingredients on their own. But it can be done, and now you can do it too!

Tortillas!
"Out of necessity comes invention!" So I didn't invent tortillas or this recipe, but I only looked up how to make my own tortillas because I was out of bread, and making bread takes way too long. Then after making these I realized... Why doesn't everyone do this?!
Cheesy Popcorn!
In my last post I realized, I talked about cheesy popcorn. But this isn't your typical bright orange, powder covered cheesy popcorn!

Baked Nachos!
Some night you just want a big tray of nachos for dinner!
This is recipe you can make with whatever you've got around the house, and at my house I always have tortilla chips, some sort of cheese, and salsa fixings.
Broccoli Quiche!
Only I could crave something as random as quiche, and then make it instead of go to Panera Bread or a local bakery to get one. It was surprisingly easy as well.
Patty Melts!
Sometimes you just crave something greasy, cheesy, and really bad for you. And I have been craving a Patty Melt for days, so I finally got around to making them for dinner.
Cheesecake in a Mug!
I'm always half excited, half suspicious of any baked good that can be cooked in a mug with a microwave.
I've tried the Cake in a Mug and it definitely needed tweaking because the cake always came out dry or dense. After a while I figured out how to make it giving it actual cake consistency and texture.
I've tried Cookie in a Mug/Bowl, that was disastrous! It was just a mess in a bowl. So I never tried again, and just make whole batches of cookies.
Now I have found Cheesecake in a Mug.

Not-so-scary Pie Crust!
I know, pie crust can get pretty tricky and always seems a lot scarier before you’ve actually made it! I’ve tried a number different pie crust recipes and some of them are in fact a terror to make!
