Chili Cheese Dip!

Yum! At sleepovers, if we weren't eating cheesy popcorn or bologna sandwiches with chips smashed in the middle, we were eating this. We'd be perched on the sofa bed ready to either watch Bring It On or Scream (we had incredible taste in movies) and her mom would set down a bowl full of dip and some chips in front of us then we would go to town!

After making it all the way to college, I realized this is super easy to make! So when I decided to make it in the dorms kitchenette my roommate waited patiently, as always, to see what delicious thing I would produce. It was no surprise that this dip was a big success. And I carried on the tradition of this slumber party snack as we watched a movie.

So how do you make this? Easy!
All you need is:
a package of cream cheese
a can of chili of your choosing (I prefer without beans)
shredded cheddar cheese
a bag of tortilla chips (We always use "Scoops" because it holds the cheese better)

Spread the cream cheese at the bottom of a microwavable dish.
Cover it with the chili, then generously sprinkle the cheddar on top.
Microwave until the cheese on top is nice and melty!

Finally, enjoy with tortilla chips! Be super careful though, this dip can get really hot! And it will be very difficult not to dig in right away, but you don't want to burn off your tongue.

*Tip* Cover the top of the dish with paper towel so the chili doesn't splash all over the microwave!
